The mandate of the Jasper-Yellowhead
Museum and Archives is to collect, preserve
and make available for research and exhibition documents
and artifacts that serve to illustrate the human
history of Jasper National Park and area and the
Yellowhead corridor. The museum is located in Alberta,
Canada. |

Follow the area’s rich history from its earliest
visitors 10,000 years ago to its recent designation as
part of a World Heritage Site.
The Jasper Museum Historical Gallery includes exhibits
on the fur trade, the railways, early tourism,
the park and its warden service, as well as the history of
the town of Jasper itself.

change several times a year. These galleries feature exhibits which
are culturally and historically significant to the

Our archives has an extensive collection of historic photos
available for reproduction.

The Museum Collections include artifacts and items
that reflect the natural and cultural history of Jasper,
Jasper National Park and the Yellowhead Corridor.
The
Museum also collects original works of art or craft relevant
to Jasper, Jasper National Park and the Yellowhead Corridor,
acquired through purchase or donation, as approved by
the Accessions Committee.

books, videos, artwork and crafts by local and regional artists.
