Located in the
scenic Rocky Mountain town of Jasper, Alberta, the Jasper
Yellowhead Museum & Archives
is dedicated to collect, preserve and make available
for research and exhibition documents and artefacts which
illustrate the human history of Jasper National Park
and the Yellowhead Corridor.
The Archives’ holdings include:
a library of historic books, periodicals and pamphlets
pertaining to the human and natural history of the region;
more than 20 metres of manuscripts, personal and business
papers, diaries, memoirs; The photographic holdings include
over 4,000 items in the form of negatives, prints, albums
and transparencies; also available are more than 50 cassette
tapes, some of which are significant oral histories.

fonds level description of the Jasper Yellowhead Museum
and Archives holdings.

researcher to view low resolution thumbnails of over
4,000 digitized photographic records along with an item
level description of the image.

How to submit?
The Jasper Yellowhead Archives receives inquiries by conventional
mail, telephone, fax and electronic means. Due to the volume
of requests we receive, we are unable to undertake extensive
research requests. If you have a specific question about
a particular subject, individual or archival holding, we
will endeavor to respond to your inquiry in a timely manner.
Please note, however, that response time may be affected
by heavy workloads. If you are planning a visit, or have
a time-sensitive project, please keep this in mind.
